Job summary

Zobility in Irvine, CA is seeking a 12 months contract Laboratory Technician. The role, paid $30/hr on W2 with benefits, involves hands-on lab work, coatings testing, and data documentation.

You'll operate under a Senior Technician or Chemist, follow established protocols, and ensure data integrity while maintaining safety practices throughout long lab days.

Qualifications

• Associates or Bachelor's degree in a technical field.
• Experience in lab hands-on work and good at 5S.
• Basic data summary and MS Office skill.
• Good team player.
• 1-3 years of demonstrated laboratory experience.
• Computer literate in Microsoft Office products – Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
• Ability to understand and follow experimental protocols for preservation of data.
• Follow safe laboratory practices/protocols.
• The ability to stand while working in the laboratory throughout most of the day.

Responsibilities

• Under supervision of a Senior Technician or Chemist, perform functions with initiative and independence.
• Testing of coatings; evaluate, collect and record data; summarize and report results in a laboratory notebook.
• Use a computer to enter data and create charts/tables for project communications.
• Prepare cleaners/pretreatments/paints/coatings from chemical ingredients.
• Test performance characteristics of coated substrates using established procedures.
• Routine data generation based on standard test methods.
