Job summary

Joulé in Irvine, CA is seeking a Lab Technician for an onsite 12-month contract with potential extension or conversion to permanent. M-F, 8am-5pm; pay is $28.00-$32.00/hr.

Responsibilities include testing coatings and evaluating data, with routine data generation per standard methods. You will support an application engineer with data generation, document results in a lab notebook, and prepare charts/tables for communication.

Qualifications

• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in a technical field.
• 1-3 years of demonstrated laboratory experience.
• Experience with 5S and lab practices.
• Computer literacy in Word, Excel and PowerPoint.

Requirements

• Associate’s or Bachelor's degree in a technical field.
• Not afraid of equipment operation and lab testing.
• Experience in lab hands on work and good at 5S.
• 1-3 years of demonstrated laboratory experience.
• Computer literate in Microsoft Office products - Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
• Must be a good team player.
• Ability to understand and follow experimental protocols for preservation of data.
• Ability to follow safe laboratory practices/protocols.
• Ability to stand while working in the laboratory throughout most of the day.
