Qualifications

• Associates or Bachelor's degree in a technical field.
• 1–3 years of demonstrated laboratory experience.
• Computer literate in MS Office: Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
• Ability to understand and follow experimental protocols for data preservation.
• Adheres to safe laboratory practices and protocols.
• Ability to stand while working in the laboratory for most of the day.

Responsibilities

• Routine data generation based on standard test method.
• Under supervision of a Senior Technician or Chemist, perform tasks with initiative and independence.
• Testing of coatings.
• Evaluate, collect and record data.
• Organize and perform experiments using established procedures; summarize and report results in a laboratory notebook.
• Use a computer to enter data including charts and tables for communication of results.
• Involved in making cleaners/pretreatments/paints/coatings from chemical ingredients.
• Test performance characteristics of coated substrates using established procedures.
