Job summary

BCforward is seeking a Lab Technician / Assistant I in Tucson, AZ to support experiments and maintain lab equipment. The role is a 12-month contract with onsite schedule, Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM–4:00 PM MST, with a rate of $25–$28 per hour on W2.

Immediate start is expected, with a focus on safety, data documentation, and asset readiness. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with lab equipment, maintenance, and data logs, and possess strong attention to details and customer-service

Qualifications

Experience with equipment maintenance and servicing.
Proficiency with hand tools for routine adjustments and repairs.
High attention to detail and adherence to procedures.
Ability to use Excel or Google Sheets for logs and reporting.
Technical aptitude with diagnostic or laboratory equipment.
Strong interpersonal skills with customer service experience.
Ability to manage simultaneous tasks and prioritize effectively.
2 to 5 years of relevant experience.

Responsibilities

Support laboratory experiments and research activities.
Prepare lab materials and samples for testing.
Maintain and service diagnostic laboratory equipment and slide scanning systems.
Ensure compliance with laboratory safety and quality standards.
Assist with data collection and documentation.
Monitor and maintain lab inventory and equipment status.
