Job summary

Pace® is seeking a Lab Technician in our environmental testing laboratory in Lenexa, KS to support water and soil sample preparation and analysis. This role follows a Monday–Friday schedule, 7:00 am to 3:30 pm, with full training to grow a career in laboratory sciences within Pace®.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma or equivalent, the ability to work in a lab setting, and a readiness to learn. Prior lab experience is helpful but not required; we offer competitive benefits and growth

Qualifications

• Ability to work in a lab or office setting, stand long periods, wear PPE.
• Experience in a laboratory or environmental testing setting is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare water and soil samples prior to analysis.
• Follow established sample preparation procedures.
• Maintain and update documentation and databases.

Lab Technician Compensation: $18.00 per hour Hours: Monday through Friday, 7 AM - 3:30 PM The salary for this position reflects a variety of factors. Compensation will be determined based on the candidate’s geographic location, relevant experience, education, skills, and alignment with internal equity. Market conditions, budgetary considerations, and organizational compensation guidelines may also influence the final offer.

What You'll Do

• Support our Scientists by preparing water and soil samples prior to analysis
• Follow a variety of established sample preparation procedures
• Work with various solvents and chemicals for the preparation of samples
• Maintain and update appropriate documentation and databases

What You'll Bring

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Ability to work in a lab or office setting, remain standing for long periods while conducting tests, work around strong smells, and wear personal protective equipment while handling samples (lab coat, safety glasses, gloves - all provided by Pace®)
• Experience in a laboratory or environmental testing setting is preferred but not required
