Job summary

Elementis PLC. is seeking a Lab Technician to perform specified Quality Control tests, ensuring material and finished product quality. You will prepare solutions, collect samples, and enter data to support decision making.

You will assist in ISO 9001 issues, help train new Lab Technicians, and support management with adjustments to in‑process parameters to maintain product quality. The role emphasizes safe handling of chemicals and accurate record keeping.

Qualifications

• Prepare necessary solutions and materials required in the performance of specified tests.
• Follow and perform all necessary steps in preparing samples for analysis.
• Follow prescribed methods, perform laboratory testing and analysis for all plant departments as required.
• Use SPC techniques to analyze product performance.
• Computer data entry of test results or lab book entry as required.
• Dispose of all old samples or testing material following the prescribed method.
• Prepare and standardize solutions used in laboratory work.
• Where required, prepare samples for shipping.
• Keep work areas clean and orderly while observing laboratory safety rules on handling of equipment and chemicals.
• Where required, use computer and/or calculator to perform job functions.
• Perform new tests as introduced.
• As required, label containers of finished goods as reject.

• Perform any other related duties as required.
