Job summary

Mississippi Lime Company is seeking a Lab Technician I for our on-site laboratory to support quality control and quality assurance across plant facilities. You will collect samples, perform tests, and communicate any issues to supervisors while updating the LIMS with results.

The role requires lifting up to 50 pounds, a high school diploma, and the ability to work rotating shifts including evenings, holidays, and weekends. Join a company with a strong safety and development culture.

• High School Diploma required; 2 years’ experience preferred.
• Must be able to lift 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Picks up samples from production facilities and delivers them to the main laboratory for testing.
• Performs a variety of tests on samples to assure quality control and quality assurance.
• Communicate to production personnel or Laboratory Supervisor any issues with samples/analytical results so those issues can be rectified.
• Update the Laboratory Information Management System with test results.
• Performs weekly calibration checks on certain laboratory and process equipment.
• Assist Laboratory personnel in the maintenance and repair of certain laboratory instruments.
• Employees are expected to perform other responsibilities as needed.

About the Job

Laboratory Technicians analyze and evaluate product samples taken from the various plant facilities for quality control and quality assurance.
