Syndicus NACON is seeking a Back Lab Technician for a 6-month contract in Muscatine, IA on the 3rd shift (10:30pm-6:30am). The role involves performing routine analytical testing in a 24/7 lab, preparing samples, and maintaining ISO-compliant records. You should have an associates degree (bachelors preferred) and experience with HPLC/GC and lab instrumentation.

Back Lab Technician

Location: Muscatine, IA.

Contract: 6-month contract (opportunity for extensions; long-term potential). Contract start: Sep 8, 2026.

Shift: 3rd shift - 10:30pm-6:30am M-F.

Pay: up to $27.25/hr, depending on experience.

Key responsibilities include:

• Perform routine analytical testing in a 24/7 laboratory environment, providing data for process and quality control.
• Prepare and analyze samples using analytical equipment (pH meters, density meters, viscometers, etc.) and operate laboratory information systems.
• Accurate record-keeping, compliance with ISO standards, daily instrument calibrations, and maintaining safety practices.

Requirements

• Associates required - Bachelors preferred.
• Knowledge of hazardous waste regulations.
• Strong communication skills, attention to detail, and ability to troubleshoot instrument issues.
• Background in chemical analyses and 3-4 years of experience preferred, along with basic knowledge of HPLC and GC operations.
