Job summary

Kelly Services is seeking a Lab Technician for a multi-year contract with a leading specialty chemical company in Lafayette, IN. The role focuses on analytical testing of incoming raw materials and routine instrument calibration in a GMP environment.

Qualifications

• Requires high school diploma; further science degree preferred.
• Associate or Bachelor's degree in a science discipline required.
• Experience with basic office/operational systems.
• Able to follow guidance to plan and perform actions.
• GMP environment experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conduct analytical testing on incoming raw materials using UV/Vis, IR, HPLC, GC TOC, and microbial analysis.
• Weigh and receipt samples.
• Perform LIMS transactions and record data.
• Waste disposal and materials ordering.
• Maintain housekeeping and instrument calibration.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Conduct analytical testing on incoming raw materials by various techniques such as, but not limited to, UV/Vis, IR, HPLC, GC TOC, and Microbial analysis.

REQUIREMENTS

• High School diploma
  
• Associate degree or Bachelorsdegree in a science related discipline
  
• Basic experience of simple office / operational systems
  
• Works with guidance (but not constant supervision) to develop appropriate plans or perform necessary actions based on recommendations and requirements
  
• Works under guidance (but not constant supervision) to analyze data trends for use in reports to help guide decision making
  
• Works with guidance (but not constant supervision) to plan, organize, prioritize and oversee activities to efficiently meet business objectives
  
• Works with guidance (but not constant supervision) to develop, monitor, interpret and understand policies and procedures, while making sure they match organizational strategies and objectives
