Short Intro and About the Job

This position is responsible for assisting with, organizing, and performing a variety of physical and analytical tasks under general supervision. The individual will perform tasks such as pilot plant trial support, analytical testing of food and beverage products, shipping & receiving, and lab upkeep. The role supports product development and improvement for Danone by applying technical knowledge in a Research and Development setting, working closely with R&I scientists and technicians.

• Clean, organize, and restock product development labs daily.
• Support scientists and pilot plant team with trials daily.
• Track and restock ingredients and supplies for labs and pilot plants daily.
• Support organization and coordination of team tastings weekly.
• Assist with cleaning and dishwashing after meetings and tastings.
• Ensure completion of maintenance requests to Facilities.
• Support shelf life studies, including analytical and sensory testing.
• Manage packing and shipping of products daily.
• Organize received packages daily.
• Maintain and operate analytical equipment for product analysis daily.

The salary range is $50,000-$58,000, plus performance bonuses and benefits including health coverage, 401k, wellness programs, tuition reimbursement, flexible time off, and parental leave.

About You

Education and Experience: Minimum 1 year in a manufacturing/lab environment. A B.S. or B.A. from a 4-year college is a plus but not required.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Basic understanding of food safety, lab safety, experimental analysis, and good organizational and communication skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with flexibility for a varied schedule. Proficiency in Word, Excel, and internet research. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work in a lab environment with moderate to high noise levels.
