Job summary

Day shift, Mon-Fri, with a competitive rate of $20/hr ($41,600 annual equivalent) plus benefits. Requires HS diploma and science-related degree with basic office/system experience.

  • Basic experience with simple office/operational systems.
  • Ability to follow guidance to develop plans and perform actions.
  • Ability to analyze data trends for reports to guide decisions.
  • GMP laboratory environment experience or awareness.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct analytical testing on incoming raw materials using techniques such as UV/Vis, IR, HPLC, GC TOC, and microbial analysis.
  • Perform sample weighing and receipt, and complete LIMS transactions.
  • Maintain waste disposal, housekeeping, and general lab organization.
  • Assist in inventory and routine instrument calibration.
  • Support planning and prioritization to meet business objectives.

Job Title: Lab Technician (contract)

Location: Lafayette, IN

Shift: Day (Mon-Fri)

Length of Assignment: Open Ended

Rate: $20/hr. or $41,600 annual equivalent + benefits

RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Conduct analytical testing on incoming raw materials by various techniques such as, but not limited to, UV/Vis, IR, HPLC, GC TOC, and Microbial analysis.
  • Sample weighing
  • Sample receipt
  • Completion of LIMS transactions
  • Waste disposal
  • Ordering materials
  • Housekeeping
  • Routine instrument calibration
  • Assist in inventory
REQUIREMENTS
  • High School diploma
  • Associate degree or Bachelors degree in a science related discipline
  • Basic experience of simple office / operational systems
  • Works with guidance (but not constant supervision) to develop appropriate plans or perform necessary actions based on recommendations and requirements
  • Works under guidance (but not constant supervision) to analyze data trends for use in reports to help guide decision making
  • Works with guidance (but not constant supervision) to plan, organize, prioritize and oversee activities to efficiently meet business objectives
  • Works with guidance (but not constant supervision) to develop, monitor, interpret and understand policies and procedures, while making sure they match organizational strategies and objectives
  • The laboratory is a GMP environment
