Job summary

ManpowerGroup seeks a Lab Technician for a Johnston, IA team focused on plant breeding and biotechnology research. You will support a biotechnology group by handling tissue culture tasks, sterile processing, and analyzing results to advance novel plant breeding methods.

The role requires an Associate or Bachelor’s in biological sciences, with experience in tissue culture and aseptic work. Daily duties include sample processing, reporting, and coordinating culture activities, under supervision.

Responsibilities

• Assist with creating, executing, and scoring results supporting research team needs, including processing samples under sterile lab conditions
• Measure, image, and analyze experimental results to support research outcomes
• Coordinate sampling and prepare samples as needed for ongoing plant tissue culture work
• Execute plant tissue culture activities, including plant transformation, plant propagation, and analytical assays of plant tissue samples as needed
• Maintain a safe work environment by using aseptic, sterile techniques and documenting experimental details in proprietary and standard software applications

Our client, world-class experts in plant breeding and biotechnology is seeking a Lab Technician to join their team. As a Lab Technician, you will be part of the Biotechnology team supporting a research team developing and evaluating novel plant breeding methods. The ideal candidate will be skilled in tissue culture, experienced with aseptic techniques, be detail-orientation and have excellent communication and organizational skills.

Job Title: Lab Technician

Location: Johnston, IA

Pay Range: $27

Shift: Monday through Friday 8am-4:30pm

What's the Job?
