Job summary

Univar Solutions is seeking a Lab Technician in Houston to perform laboratory and research tasks, analyze products, and ensure quality and composition. You will handle specimens, run tests, and generate Certificates of Analysis while keeping accurate records and maintaining equipment.

Responsibilities include preparing samples, operating lab equipment, and supporting safety and cGMP compliance. Benefits include health, retirement programs, and performance-based recognition within a diverse team.

Qualifications

• Experience with lab procedures and quality control processes.
• Understanding of laboratory protocols and cGMP basics as relevant.
• Familiarity with UVX and scheduling tools.

Responsibilities

• Prepares specimens, slides and solutions as required.
• Performs calculations and routine tests and maintains records.
• Prepares Certificates of Analysis and toxicological reports.
• Maintains clean and organized laboratory spaces and stocks supplies.
• Contributes to safety and quality processes within the facility.

Lab Technician

Performs a variety of laboratory and research related tasks. Analyzes and tests manufactured and recycled Company products to ensure product quality and composition.

Responsibilities:

• Uses laboratory equipment to analyze, measure and test chemicals to ensure quality control of products.
• Prepares specimens, slides and solutions.
• Performs calculations and routine tests.
• Prepares and translates Certificates of Analysis and Toxicological reports.
• Maintains accurate records.
• Stocks laboratory supplies.
• Cleans and maintains laboratory equipment.
• Cross trains in other job duties within the Tank Farm.
• Adheres to company quality processes, as applicable.
• Assists to resolve product quality issues in an efficient and timely manner, as applicable.

Skills:

• Experienced in laboratory procedures
• Knowledge of laboratory protocols
• Knowledge of cGMP requirements as it pertains to FDARP as applicable to the facility

Education/Training

• Experience in UVX
• SharePoint- EDX-Scheduling
