Univar Solutions in Garland, TX is seeking an Associate Quality Chemist who will test products and raw materials for chemical content, provide technical information to customers, and supervise repackaging for resale.

Responsabilidades

• Prepares chemical solutions and reagents to specifications for resale.
• Plans and schedules repackaging activities and ensures color/quality control for bulk shipments.
• Tests samples and ensures quality control for all bulk chemical shipments stored in company facilities.
• Provides technical knowledge to Commercial teams and customers about specialty chemicals.
• Conducts experimental work with new chemicals and potential products; recommends adoption.
• Keeps informed of new equipment and developments in chemical testing.
• Maintains and enforces the safety program within assigned area; protects company equipment.
• Adheres to company quality processes and participates in issue resolution.
• Prepares and submits reports as directed.

Associate Quality Chemist

Tests products and raw materials for chemical content and provides technical/chemical information to Company customers, suppliers and staff. Monitors the repackaging of chemical products for resale; provides quality control for bulk and chemical products; and prepares solutions and reagents as needed.

Specific Duties and Responsibilities:

• Prepares chemical solutions and special reagents to specifications for resale.
• Plans and/or schedules the activities involved in the repackaging of chemicals into smaller containers and ensures their quality.
• Test samples and ensures quality control for all bulk chemical shipments to be stored in Company's bulk storage facilities.
• Provides technical knowledge to the Commercial team and customers regarding special chemical products and related matters as needed.
• Conducts experimental work with new chemicals and potential products; makes recommendations to management for adoption.
• Keeps informed of new equipment and developments in the testing of chemicals.
• Keeps employees informed of and directs Company's safety program within assigned area; provides for the maintenance and protection of Company equipment.
• Adheres to company quality processes, as applicable.
• Assists to resolve product quality issues in an efficient and timely manner, as applicable
• Prepares and submits reports as directed.

Specialized Knowledge/Skills:

• Must be able to work under Company policies where experience and independent judgment are needed.
• Must have extensive knowledge of chemical products, familiar with sample labeling requirements, and ability to prepare standard for equipment verification.
• Knowledge of cGMP requirements as it pertains to FDARP as applicable to the facility.
• Should have own initiative and understanding.
• Must be able to operate and work with laboratory equipment.
• Must be able to work with and secure the cooperation of others.

Education/Training

• College degree in Chemistry or equivalent chemical laboratory experience
• One to three years experience in the preparation of chemical products
