Job summary

Univar Solutions Inc. in Houston, TX is seeking a laboratory professional to perform a variety of testing and analysis tasks to ensure product quality and composition.

You will prepare specimens, run routine tests, and generate Certificates of Analysis while maintaining precise records and stocking supplies. The role emphasizes adherence to quality processes, cross-training across duties, and contributing to a collaborative, inclusive team.

Qualifications

• Experience with laboratory procedures and equipment.
• Knowledge of laboratory protocols and quality control.
• Familiarity with cGMP requirements related to FDARP at the facility.

Responsibilities

• Analyze and test chemicals to ensure product quality.
• Prepare specimens, slides and solutions.
• Perform calculations and routine tests.
• Prepare Certificates of Analysis and Toxicological reports.
• Maintain accurate records and stock supplies.
• Clean and maintain laboratory equipment and assist with cross-training.
• Adhere to company quality processes and resolve product quality issues as needed.

Performs a variety of laboratory and research related tasks. Analyzes and tests manufactured and recycled Company products to ensure product quality and composition.

Responsibilities

• Uses laboratory equipment to analyze, measure and test chemicals to ensure quality control of products.
• Prepares specimens, slides and solutions.
• Performs calculations and routine tests.
• Prepares and translates Certificates of Analysis and Toxicological reports.
• Maintains accurate records.
• Stocks laboratory supplies.
• Cleans and maintains laboratory equipment.
• Cross trains in other job duties within the Tank Farm.
• Adheres to company quality processes, as applicable.
• Assists to resolve product quality issues in an efficient and timely manner, as applicable.

Skills

• Experienced in laboratory procedures
• Knowledge of laboratory protocols
• Knowledge of cGMP requirements as it pertains to FDARP as applicable to the facility

Education/Training

• Experience in UVX
