Job summary

Hallstar is seeking a Lab Technician for our Industrial team in Greensboro, NC. The role reports to the QC Manager and features 12-hour NIGHT shifts (8 pm - 8 am, three days on, three days off, two days on, two days off), including every other weekend.

You will prepare, test and report results for materials across manufacturing stages per SOPs, under supervision of a QC Analyst. The ideal candidate has a bachelor’s degree in chemistry or related field and hands-on experience with wet chemistry,

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in chemistry or related field required.
• Experience in analysis of organics (wet chemistry, chromatography and spectroscopy) preferred.
• Strong math, data recording, and ability to operate lab equipment.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, test, and report results for materials at various stages of the manufacturing process according to SOPs.
• Train under supervision of QC Analyst and develop understanding of testing equipment.
• Document test results in logs and data systems; maintain clean, safe lab environment.
• Handle basic hazardous materials knowledge and disposal per SOPs.

We are currently in search of a Lab Technician to join our Industrial team in Greensboro, NC. This role reports to the QC Manager.

The position schedule includes 12-hour NIGHT shifts (8 pm - 8 am, three days on, three days off, two days on, two days off), including every other weekend.

Position Responsibilities Include

• Basic knowledge of wet chemistry techniques (academic or professional).
• Train under the supervision of a qualified Quality Control Analyst.
• Prepare, test, and report results for materials at various stages of the manufacturing process according to established Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) including in-process samples, incoming raw materials, and finished products.
• Develop a thorough understanding of chemical testing equipment and processes.
• Apply knowledge and experience in math skills, analysis, and operation of lab equipment.
• Accurately document test results in logs and data systems.
• Practice good laboratory and safety techniques.
• Clean and maintain laboratory glassware.
• Keep the laboratory area clean and organized.
• Basic knowledge of hazardous materials and the appropriate handling and disposal of such products preferred.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of bachelor’s degree in chemistry or related degree and experience in analysis of organics (wet chemistry, chromatography and spectroscopy).
• Applied knowledge and experience in math skills, analysis, and operation of lab equipment.
• Exhibit time management skills to manage multiple projects concurrently.
