Job summary

Experis Austria is seeking a Lab Technician for a consumer packaged goods operation in Evansville, IN. The role involves collecting, preparing, and analyzing samples, executing quality control tests, and operating lab instruments.

The ideal candidate will work well in a team, be trainable, and capable of independent work while maintaining compliant notebooks and records in a regulatory environment. Overtime is available but not required, with weekend hours paid at time and a half.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in science or equivalent lab experience.
• Demonstrates ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
• Experience using Microsoft based computer applications a must.
• Familiarity with ion chromatography, ICP, mass spectrometry detection and LIMS a plus but not required.

Responsibilities

• Collect, prepare, and analyze routine quantitative samples of raw materials, finished products and premixes.
• Perform chemical quality control tests of vitamins and other nutrients following established methods and utilizing accepted laboratory techniques.
• Operate laboratory instruments.
• Perform duties required in the routine maintenance of a safe and appropriate laboratory environment which is compliant with company and regulatory standards.
• Maintain current, complete, legible notebooks and laboratory records in compliance with good scientific and regulatory practices.

Our client in consumer packaged goods manufacturing is seeking a Lab Technician to join their team. The ideal candidate will have team playing, lab skills and trainability which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Lab Technician

Location: Evansville IN

Pay Range: $21.50 - $23 hourly

Contract: Long term/conversion to permanent possible

Shift: M - F: 8a - 4:30p (flexible on start time up to 9am)

Overtime Weekend Hours available but NOT required (paid time and a half)

Job Duties

• Collect, prepare, and analyze routine quantitative samples of raw materials, finished products and premixes.

What We're Looking For

• Bachelor’s degree in science (Chemistry, Biology, Food Science, etc.) - OR - Equivalent Lab experience and skills will also be considered.

• Familiarity with ion chromatography, ICP, mass spectrometry detection and laboratory information management computer systems a plus but not required.
