Job summary

Tradebe Environmental Services in East Chicago, IN is seeking a Depack Technician to assist the Depack Chemist with sampling, packaging and labeling hazardous wastes for transportation and disposal.

You'll work on the 2nd Shift (12:00 PM – 8:30 PM), with pay starting at $19/hr and weekly pay. We offer medical, dental, and vision benefits, HSA and FSA options, 401(k) and more to support a safe, healthy workplace.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Hazardous waste experience a plus.
• Experience operating a forklift preferred.

Responsibilities

• De-pack lab pack quantities.
• Obtain samples from drums and sample in-house created material.
• Load and offload trucks.
• Pour-off/bulk up lab pack materials.
• Complete all regulatory paperwork to ensure environmental compliance with all environmental regulations and internal procedures.
• Uphold Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) compliance by ensuring all operations adhere to relevant regulations, standards, and internal policies, while fostering a safe and environmentally responsible workplace.
• Respond to spills and other emergencies.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
