Overview

Memorial Hospital Belleville is an acute care hospital offering medical and surgical services, critical and emergency care, including Children’s at Memorial for pediatric emergency care. It provides diagnostic and treatment services, heart and vascular care, and is accredited as a Chest Pain Center with PCI and an Acute Stroke Ready Hospital. It is also a designated Lung Cancer Screening Center and a Magnet-recognized organization for nursing excellence.

Memorial Hospital Shiloh, a 94-bed hospital with private suites, provides emergency care, labor & delivery, nursery, medical and surgical services, and critical care, recognized with Magnet status in 2018.

Preferred Qualifications

Role Purpose

Coordinates the technical activities of the department, performs testing on blood and specimens, and acts as a resource to staff.

Responsibilities

Assess workload, prioritize work, adjust staffing, and assist staff as needed. Coordinate schedules to ensure adequate staffing.

Maintain laboratory services and quality per standards and regulations.

Manage daily operations technically and administratively to ensure quality services, meet goals, and reduce costs.

Develop QA monitors, evaluate data, identify problems, and implement solutions.

Train staff and students in routine and specialized techniques, participate in competency assessments.

Bachelor's Degree in Physical/Life Science or related field
