Qualifications

• Associate degree in Materials Science or related field; equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 2–4 years of hands-on polymer processing or additive manufacturing (3D printing).
• Experience with high-temperature polymers, powder handling, and hazardous materials.
• Knowledge of inventory management practices including traceability and material handling systems.
• Strong mechanical aptitude to operate, maintain, and troubleshoot lab/processing equipment.
• Ability to follow SOPs, ASTM, ISO, and related standards.
• Proficiency with MS 365 and lab data/documentation systems.
• Strong organizational, communication, and multitasking skills.
• Ability to meet physical/work requirements including lifting up to 50 lbs and PPE.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain polymer processing and additive manufacturing equipment, ensuring cleanliness and precision.
• Conduct polymer processing activities: powder blending, extrusion, and injection molding preparations.
• Support processing operations and optimization: setup, startup/shutdown, cleaning, troubleshooting, parameter adjustments.
• Utilize CAD software and coordinate internal/external testing to support product development.
• Execute lab processing and testing per SOPs, ASTM/ISO standards, with accurate records and data management.
• Maintain lab compliance and drive continuous improvement by reviewing procedures and SDS requirements.
• Coordinate and support lab projects and priorities, adjusting workload per business needs.
• Manage material inventory and prepare compliant shipments (domestic/international).
• Provide mentorship and maintain effective communication with stakeholders and cross-functional teams.
