Job summary

Orion Group is seeking a Lab Tech I to support pharmaceutical quality control testing in a 100% onsite role in Waco, TX. The position coordinates sample receipt, data entry, and routine analytical testing to support QC of pharmaceutical products.

The entry-level role requires basic lab skills and data interpretation, with GMP environment experience preferred but not required. The contract spans six months with a 2:00-10:00 PM shift.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in chemistry or biochemistry, or an associate’s degree.
• 0-3+ years of laboratory experience.
• Experience in a GMP laboratory setting is a plus.

Job Description

The Lab Tech I coordinates sample receipt and testing, enters data into computer applications, and performs routine analytical testing to support quality control of pharmaceutical products. This entry-level role requires good laboratory skills and some data interpretation. Pharmaceutical or biotechnology quality control experience is preferred but not required.

Qualifications

• Basic laboratory instrumentation skills.
• Bachelor’s degree in chemistry or biochemistry, or an associate’s degree.
• Strong attention to detail.
• 0-3+ years of laboratory experience.
• Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
• Good computer and communication skills.
• Experience in a GMP laboratory setting.

Preferred Experience

• Experience operating analytical equipment such as analytical balances, total carbon analyzers, spectrophotometers, and pH meters.
• Pharmaceutical or biotechnology quality control testing experience.
