You will handle lab orders, test reports, and instrument operation, including spectrophotometer and atomic absorption. Safety and teamwork are essential in a manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• Perform laboratory functions including analytical and physical testing to ensure processes meet customer and auditing requirements.
• Create monthly lab orders for physical testing and prepare metal specimens for testing.
• Review testing records and ensure results stay within control and specifications.

Responsibilities

• Create monthly lab orders for physical testing; prepare metal specimens for testing.
• Track and perform analytical and physical tests within required time frames.
• Operate spectrophotometer and other instruments for testing procedures.
• Create test reports detailing procedures and results of tests.
• Review and file lab orders, certificates of analysis, and related documents.
• Monitor tank temperatures and ensure process tanks stay within required ranges.
• Communicate issues to shop personnel and maintain safety and cleanliness.
