Job Description

Job Title: Lab Tech

Location: Springfield, MO

Duration: 6+ months (possibility of extension)

Roles

• Attention to detail is essential.
• Ability to follow directions carefully.
• Work quickly and accurately.
• Multitask effectively.
• Sit or stand for extended periods.
• Work M-F, 8:00 am - 4:30 pm, with flexibility for 1:30 pm - 10:00 pm shifts based on needs.
• Overtime and weekend work as required.
• Work well in team and solitary environments.
• Proficient in Excel, Word, and general computer use.
• Excellent written and verbal communication, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Previous lab experience preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Sort, pour, and test routine analytical properties of food products during shifts.
• Test non-routine properties such as HPLC, GC, and Color Power.
• Communicate out-of-specification issues to management.
• Return extra samples to rework shelves during shifts.
• Wash dishes and restock supplies during shifts.
• Collect and test water samples.
• Calibrate processing department titrators.
• Serve as backup for the Micro Lab Tech.
• As needed, create COAs for finished goods for domestic and international customers.
