Job summary

Integrated Resources Inc. is seeking a Lab Technician I in Santa Ana, CA for a 6+ month contract. The technician will perform routine laboratory tasks, maintain equipment, and prepare reagents while adhering to good documentation practices. Ideal candidates will have prior laboratory experience, a high school diploma (or equivalent), and strong communication skills.

Job title: Lab Technician I

Location: Santa Ana, CA
Duration: 6+ months (Possibilities of extension)

POSITION DESCRIPTION:

The lab technician will performs routine duties of limited scope in a technical / lab area according to prescribed procedures, standard operating procedures, standards or ensure good laboratory practices.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Maintenance of general laboratory supply; such as media inventory.
• Maintenance of laboratory equipment required to perform assigned tasks from various sources in work area.
• Maintenance of laboratory area to ensure cleanliness of workbenches, incubators, and testing hoods.
• Prepare media and reagents which are used for testing.
• Complete appropriate paperwork required to document work per good documentation practices and good laboratory practices.
• Perform media growth promotion, maintenance of microorganisms used for growth promotion, and test sample collection critical systems (for example, RODI and solution systems)
• Performs other duties as assigned (for example maintenance of temperature monitoring systems)

Qualifications

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

In Order To Be Considered For This Position, The Following Basic Qualifications Must Be Evident On Your Resume.

REQUIRED EDUCATION:

High school education or equivalent.

Preferred: B.S. in Microbiology or other sciences

REQUIRED YEARS OF EXPERIENCE:
1+ year experience in laboratory setting

DESIRED/PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
• Strong cGMP skills and knowledge of good documentation practices
• 1+ year experience in laboratory within the medical device or pharmaceutical industry
• Good written and verbal communication skills, communicating clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing
• Proficient in Math skills, especially in Microbiology/Sterilization Science math formulas and calculations
• Computer literate with focus Excel and Word
• Knowledge of good laboratory practices and safety
• Demonstrate good documentation practices.
