Job summary

K-Solv Group in Anahuac, Texas, is looking for a motivated Lab Technician to analyze petroleum streams for fuel blending. Candidates will be responsible for collecting and testing samples and ensuring compliance with safety regulations. The ideal candidate will have at least one year of lab experience and a High School Diploma.

This is a full-time position with typical hours from 10:00 AM to 8:00 PM, Monday to Friday. Join our team and contribute to reducing waste and enhancing fuel quality.

Qualifications

  • Ability to understand and follow safety protocols.

Responsibilities

  • Collect, analyze and label samples according to SOPs.
  • Record data and prepare Certificates of Analysis (COAs).

Job description

K-Solv has the ability to bring in many different petroleum streams for blending. We take the streams that, by themselves, could not be utilized in the gasoline process. With our own lab and numerous tanks, we are able to blend these streams together and make them acceptable for gasoline blend stock. This allows us to turn our customers' off spec fuels into something valuable, thereby, reducing waste cost and turning your off spec stream into revenue.

We are seeking a motivated, qualified individual to join our company as a Lab Technician who will be responsible for analyzing various types of petroleum streams that will be turned into fuel blends. All work will be performed in accordance with applicable guidelines, Company safety procedures, and OSHA regulations.

Work Schedule: 10:00 AM - 8:00 PM Monday thru Friday, with weekends as job demands.

Duties & Responsibilities
  • Collect, receive, label, and analyze samples according to standard operating procedures
  • Accurately record data and test results, and deliver in a timely manner
  • Pull samples and create COA's as needed
  • R&D on formulated blends
  • Interpret data and recommend blend adjustments as needed
  • Operate, maintain, and calibrate all testing equipment in lab: GC, Distillation, Karl Fischer, hydrometer, etc.
  • Maintaining daily logs and equipment record books.
  • Maintain a clean and safe working environment; observe all safety and security procedures, report unsafe conditions, and safely use equipment
  • Use Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as required
  • Actively participate in continuous improvement initiatives to promote safety awareness and environmental consciousness
  • Adherence to all OSHA and HSE regulations, Company safety guidelines, and industry standards
  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or general education degree (GED)
  • One (1) or more years of chemical testing or similar work experience
  • Expereince working in a laboratory
  • Microsoft Office experience
  • Must be able to meet criteria for safety sensitive functions according to Company standards
