Job summary

NSF is seeking a Team Lead in Ann Arbor, MI to provide technical and operations support for the laboratory area. You will train staff, oversee testing, peer review, and reporting to help meet quality, timeliness, and volume goals.

Qualifications

• Experience training, mentoring, and developing laboratory staff involved in sample preparation and exposures procedures.
• Coordinating daily laboratory operations in a production environment, including workflow management and scheduling.
• Hands-on experience with laboratory processes including sample prep, reagent prep, dimensioning, exposure processes, and data review.

Responsibilities

• Perform testing, peer review, and reporting for all test methods for laboratory area.
• Train workforce on technical processes and SOPs for the laboratory area.
• Schedule or oversee scheduling for the laboratory area.
• Recommend process improvement initiatives based on observation and data collection.
• Manage laboratory projects by assigning resources and monitoring timelines and metrics.
• Help team meet safety, quality, timeliness, productivity, and cost control objectives.
• Ensure equipment is maintained and documentation is organized and accessible.
• Ensure appropriate technical support for laboratory area.
• Perform other duties as requested.
