Henry Ford Health in Detroit is seeking a Lab Assistant to lead daily pre-analytic and post-analytic specimen processing and to keep the laboratory running smoothly on a Monday–Friday schedule.

You will train and empower fellow lab staff, ensuring procedures are followed and performance remains high. The role emphasizes routine lab procedures and support services within your assigned section, with mentoring to build a team of competent professionals.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• High level of competency in performing all Laboratory Assistant duties relevant to the assigned location.
• Competence and experience in pre-analytic specimen activities, including teaching and mentoring others.

• Lead the charge on your shift or team to perform pre-analytic and post-analytic specimen and order processing—keeping the lab running like a well-oiled machine!
• Train and empower other lab assistants, ensuring procedures followed and stays on their A-game.

• Be the mentor and teacher that helps others master pre-analytic specimen activities and maintain competency levels.
