Job summary

Cognizant is seeking an Entry-level Life Sciences - Lab System Support to provide on-site IT support for lab end-users, configure systems in GMP settings, and assist with vendor coordination and SOP updates. The role emphasizes understanding lab processes and CFR 21 Part 11 requirements.

Ideal candidates have an associates degree in biotechnology or related fields, strong Windows OS skills, and solid communication abilities.

Qualifications

• Associates degree or equivalent in Biotechnology, Bioinformatics, Computer Science, or related fields.
• Experience with Windows desktop environments and IT support in lab settings.
• Familiarity with GxP and CFR 21 Part 11 is a plus.
• Strong communication and documentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide on-site Tier 1–2 lab end-user IT support.
• Install and configure lab computer systems in GMP environments.
• Coordinate with vendor support and manage user accounts.
• Assist in SOP development and IT process improvements.
• Respond to IT requests and triage issues with global teams.
