Job summary

Pentangle Tech Services | P5 Group seeks a Lab Infra Engineer with 8+ years of experience to support prototype bring-up, test execution, device farms, and cross-functional engineering efforts in Burlingame, CA.

You will maintain lab infrastructure, assist in CI workflows, troubleshoot hardware and software issues, document results, and collaborate with Systems Engineering, Firmware, Hardware, and Infrastructure teams to ensure test readiness for rapid iteration.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in lab infra engineering, hardware validation, or test lab environments.
• Hands-on with consumer electronics, embedded systems, or prototype devices.
• Strong understanding of device setup, configuration, and hardware troubleshooting.
• Familiarity with Linux OS and basic command-line operations.
• Ability to analyze logs, document results, and track issues systematically.
• Attention to detail and ability to follow structured test procedures.

Responsibilities

• Prototype device setup, lab operations, and device provisioning.
• Manage prototype device farms used for automated testing workflows.
• Execute hardware, firmware, and system-level test procedures across devices.
• Troubleshoot device failures, capture logs, and perform root-cause analysis with engineering teams.
• Maintain lab cleanliness, inventory, and documentation of configurations and test results.
• Collaborate with Systems Engineering, Firmware, Hardware, and Infrastructure teams for bring-up activities.
