Job summary

The lab infrastructure engineer role focuses on ensuring prototype hardware and test systems are ready for validation cycles. You will support device provisioning, firmware flashing, and configuration changes, while maintaining lab infrastructure and device farms for automated testing workflows.

You will execute hardware, firmware, and system-level tests, assist in debugging by isolating hardware vs software issues, and work with cross-functional teams to enable rapid prototyping and robust test

Qualifications

• 8+ years in a lab infra, hardware validation or test lab.
• Hands-on with consumer electronics, embedded systems, or prototype devices.
• Strong device setup, configuration and hardware troubleshooting skills.
• Familiarity with Linux and basic command-line operations.
• Ability to analyze logs, document results, and track issues.
• Detail-oriented with structured test procedures.

Responsibilities

• Set up, configure, and maintain prototype hardware and test systems.
• Support firmware flashing, provisioning, and configuration changes.
• Maintain lab racks, cables, power and network connectivity.
• Manage device farms and CI-ready test infrastructure.
• Troubleshoot failures, capture logs, and perform root-cause analysis.
• Document configurations, issues, and test results accurately.
• Collaborate with Systems Engineering, Firmware, Hardware, and Infrastructure teams.
