Job summary

SSM Health St. Clare Hospital - Fenton is seeking a lab support professional to perform standard laboratory tasks, including phlebotomy and waived testing, under general supervision. The role also handles clerical duties to support the laboratory department and may participate in various administrative tasks.

Requirements include a High School diploma or 10 years of work experience and at least one year in a lab setting. Evening shift, 40 hours per week, benefits provided.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent, or 10 years of work experience.
• One year of laboratory experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs loading/unloading of specimens and waived testing.
• Collects, labels, processes and preserves specimens.
• Enters and processes lab orders in EMR.
• Assists with administrative duties including admissions and insurance verification.
• Maintains clean and organized lab space and supplies.
• May perform phlebotomy and assist with orientation of new hires.
