Job summary

WellSpan Health is seeking a Laboratory Support Technician for the Core Lab on the Day shift in Lebanon, PA. The role performs specimen processing, data entry, and clerical tasks across lab areas, with potential on-call responsibilities and a PRN day schedule.

Qualifications include a High School diploma or GED and less than 1 year of relevant experience; driving is required. Medical terminology knowledge is preferred. Excellent keyboarding and communication skills are essential.

Responsibilities

• Receives, processes, and delivers specimens; may enter data and prepare reports.
• Delivers specimens to testing locations and aids in specimen storage and disposal.
• Receives and transports supplies, equipment, reports, and specimens between the lab and other health care locations.
• Provides instructions to patients and other customers of the laboratory.
• Performs duties with varying supervision and may accept on-call responsibilities.
