Job summary

The University of Rochester in Rochester, NY is seeking a full-time Courier Services driver to operate a light duty vehicle and deliver lab tests, equipment, and supplies. This role is part of the Clinical Labs Courier Services department, scheduled for day shift, 40 hours per week, with a starting hourly wage within the posted range.

The successful candidate will have a clean driving record, a valid driver's license, 2+ years of driving experience, and the ability to read, write and perform

Qualifications

• Requires ability to read, write and perform arithmetic.
• 2+ years of relevant driving experience.
• Safe driving record and valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Operates an automobile, minibus, or light duty truck to transport persons, equipment, or supplies.
• Transports persons and/or loads, hauls and delivers supplies, equipment, lab tests, mail and freight.
• Maintains and may perform minor repair work on vehicles.
• Keeps special forms or records of vehicle trips, mileage, gas, repairs, etc., and summarize into periodic reports.
• Assists in receiving and shipping areas when requested and performs other duties as directed.
