Job summary

Rochester Regional Health in Rochester, NY is seeking a Lab Courier to support the Logistics Department at the Elmgrove location. The successful candidate will provide courteous customer service, work independently in a 20-hour weekly schedule (Mon-Fri, 4-hour shifts), and comply with safety and corporate policies.

Qualifications

• Requires valid NYS driver's license
• Previous customer service-related work experience
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred

Responsibilities

• Execute courier route assignments while driving a company vehicle.
• Expedite pick-up and delivery of priority specimens.
• Communicate regularly with Logistics Dispatch via Bluetooth in-vehicle.
• Operate company vehicle in compliance with federal, state, and highway regulations.
• Work independently, using sound judgment and problem-solving for client issues.
• Follow company policies and protect patient confidentiality.
• Document pick-up and delivery details on route sheets and notify coordinator of equipment needs.
• Conduct procedures in compliance with corporate, state, federal, OSHA and customer specs.
• Access internet and email; maintain online mandatory training.
• Assist in training new hires.
• Support route development and seek efficiencies; back up Coverage Courier as needed.
