Job summary

Rochester Regional Health in Rochester, NY is seeking a Lab Courier to join our Logistics team. The role delivers specimens, maintains chain-of-custody, and supports efficient routes while adhering to NYS Health Department regulations.

You will coordinate with Logistics Dispatch, handle loading/unloading, and contribute to training new hires and route development. A NYS driver’s license and solid customer-service skills are required; prior courier experience is a plus, with emphasis on accuracy

Qualifications

• Must have valid New York State driver’s license.
• Previous customer service-related work experience.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Five years of driving experience preferred.
• Friendly, kind and customer service oriented.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and make decisions.
• Rochester area geographical knowledge preferred.
• Previous courier experience or systems driving experience.

Responsibilities

• Execute courier route assignments while driving a company vehicle.
• Expedite pick-up and delivery of priority specimens.
• Communicate regularly with Logistics Dispatch via in-vehicle Bluetooth system.
• Operate company vehicle in accordance with regulations.
• Document pick-up and delivery details on route sheets; notify coordinator of maintenance needs.
• Assist with training of new hires and route development.
• Back up Coverage Courier as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
