Montefiore Medical Center's Division of Clinical Pathology seeks a Laboratory Supervisor for Surgical Pathology to oversee daily operations, ensure quality, and maintain compliance across IHC workflows. Montefiore Medical Center's Division of Clinical Pathology is responsible for the laboratory testing of blood, urine, and body fluids for disease diagnosis and health maintenance. Utilizing the latest advances in computer technology, the Division maintains millions of dollars of state-of-the-art automated equipment at its laboratory sites and services hospitals, nursing homes, the Montefiore Medical Group, faculty practices, and voluntary physicians' offices at more than 40 sites.
The Laboratory Supervisor Surgical Pathology oversees and manages daily laboratory operations to ensure the highest quality of patient care while meeting regulatory and compliance standards. Supervisory oversight includes laboratory staff performance, interactions, and quality of work. Clinical management includes maintaining proper equipment operation, new test implementation, troubleshooting and resolving laboratory issues, correcting errors, and documenting quality control, resulting in efficient, timely and highest quality IHC slide production.
