Job summary

Lesaffre, through its Red Star Yeast Team, seeks a Lab Supervisor to lead the laboratory technician group and ensure timely, accurate results. The role emphasizes safety, procedure adherence, and cross‑functional collaboration with Production and Maintenance teams.

You will supervise lab operations, coordinate testing schedules, and maintain QC documentation while guiding staff development and training. Strong baking-related lab skills are preferred and critical to success.

Qualifications

• BS in Microbiology, Chemistry or Food Science required.
• 5 years of lab technician or analyst experience.
• 2–5 years in a similar supervisor role.
• Proven ability to train and build teams.
• Experience baking-related lab skills.
• Strong MS Windows and MS Office skills.

Responsibilities

• Supervise laboratory technicians and coordinate the team to ensure timely, accurate results.
• Maintain proficiency testing, safety trainings, and lab programs.
• Lead adherence to safety values and lab procedures across shifts.
• Ensure samples are received, logged, and analyzed on time for internal/external customers.
• Train technicians on lab analyses and equipment maintenance.
• Manage staff schedules and monitor productivity and accountability.
