Saint Alphonsus Health System's Baker City Medical Center seeks a Laboratory Supervisor to plan, manage, and supervise activities across clinical laboratory sections, including cost and staffing controls. The role demands certification and a bachelor’s degree, plus strong leadership and collaboration with pathologists and clinicians.
The position supports day shifts with emphasis on quality, timely testing, and compliance with regulatory standards.
Plans, manages, coordinates and supervises the activities of a section (s) of the clinical laboratory, such as Chemistry, Hematology, Transfusion Service, Microbiology, Histology/Cytology, POCT, Phlebotomy, Processing, Laboratory Information and School(s) of Medical Technology including all shifts and hours. Has responsibility for quality and quantity of work, procedures, methods, costs, and personnel of the sections.

Has responsibility for quality and quantity of work, procedures, methods, costs, and personnel of the sections.
Medical Technologist (MT), Medical Laboratory Scientist (MLS), Clinical Laboratory Scientist (CLS) Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) or equivalent certification by the American Society for Clinical Pathology (ASCP) required, or certification as a Histotechnologist or Cytotecnologist by a recognized agency preferred. Bachelor’s Degree in Clinical Laboratory Science, Chemistry, Biochemistry, Biology or Health Related Science field required Specialty certification for the specific laboratory section (s) preferred. 3 years of experience in a specialty area (s) preferred. Must have experience in human relations, communications and management skills
