Mass General Brigham in Boston is seeking a Laboratory Support Technician to receive, label, and distribute clinical specimens and ensure accurate handling throughout processing. The role requires attention to detail, teamwork, and adherence to safety protocols.

You will work 40 hours per week onsite at 75 Francis Street, collaborating with clinicians and lab staff to maintain efficient specimen flow and timely test preparation. The position offers growth within a trusted healthcare system.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of basic laboratory equipment and terminology.
• Ability to follow established procedures and protocols with attention to detail and accuracy.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
• Basic computer skills including proficiency with Microsoft Office.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods of time.

Responsabilités

• Receive, label, and distribute clinical laboratory specimens including blood, urine, and tissue samples.
• Process specimens by verifying patient information, accessioning samples into the laboratory information system, and preparing samples for testing.
• Monitor and maintain inventory of laboratory supplies, reagents, and equipment.
• Follow established procedures and protocols for specimen handling, storage, and disposal.
• Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of the laboratory area.
• Adhere to safety and quality standards including use of PPE and proper disposal of hazardous materials.
• Collaborate with laboratory staff and healthcare providers to ensure timely and accurate specimen processing.
• Perform other related duties as assigned by laboratory management.
