Job summary

Baptist Health Boca Raton Regional Hospital is seeking a Laboratory Assistant responsible for receiving, processing, distributing, and preparing patient specimens, including sending specimens to reference labs. You will deliver excellent customer service and work with a collaborative team in a fast-paced environment.

Minimum qualifications include 1 year of specimen processing or reference lab experience; bilingual English/Spanish preferred.

Qualifications

• Customer service experience, knowledge of laboratory terminology, and ability to function in a fast paced environment.
• One year of specimen processing and/or reference lab experience, bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred.
• Minimum Required Experience: 1 Year

Responsibilities

• Responsible for receiving, processing, distributing, and preparing patient specimens, including sending specimens to reference laboratories for testing.
• Also responsible for providing excellent customer service and teamwork, troubleshooting issues, and distributing lab sendout reports via manual or electronic fax.
