Job summary

ProHealth Physicians in Wallingford, CT is seeking a Transportation Specialist to join our team. You will drive a company vehicle on a set route to deliver and pick up mail, supplies, and specimens, and return them to the lab for processing, ensuring accuracy and safety at all times. This is a part-time, 10-hour-per-week role with hours arranged between 8:30 a.m.

and 9:30 p.m. The hourly pay ranges from $16.00 to $25.00, with comprehensive benefits described in the job posting.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation and current auto insurance.
• Current motor vehicle record in good standing.

Responsibilities

• Deliver and pick up mail and supplies to the offices.
• Pick up specimens and store appropriately for transport.
• Fill out route sheet completely and accurately.
• Go to each stop on the route sheet and check every specimen box for specimens.
• Complete sign in sheet accurately with return time and # of specimens.
• Adapt to changes in scheduling due to weather, holidays or traffic.
• Operate a company owned vehicle following all state laws.
• Perform safety checks of the vehicle and ensure all items needed for storage are packed.
• Ensure all materials are accounted for and deliveries reach proper destinations.
• Represent PHP Laboratory when dealing with Offices and Quest stations.
• Maintain a clean vehicle inside and outside.
• Comfortable lifting up to 20lbs.
