Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and two years of relevant experience, or equivalent.
• Knowledge of academic research facility needs.
• Demonstrated supervisory experience.
• Experience managing multiple budgets.
• Ability to coordinate multiple projects in a complex environment.
• Familiarity with health and safety compliance regulations.

Responsibilities

• Oversee operation and management of a research facility; schedule equipment use.
• Negotiate and monitor equipment service contracts and warranties with vendors.
• Determine equipment needs, authorize purchases, oversee installation.
• Perform and coordinate maintenance and repair of all equipment.
• Oversee space allocation and lab moves; coordinate renovations with facilities staff.
• Administer and prepare budgets from multiple funding sources.
• Administer health and safety programs; ensure compliance with safety regulations.
• Direct staff, including supervision, hiring, promotions, and terminations.
