Job summary

The University of Southern California seeks a Laboratory Services Supervisor to oversee manual, semi-automated and automated assays in a clinical laboratory setting at Pasadena.

You will supervise staff, manage the section budget, ensure proficiency, calibrations, maintenance, QA, and accreditation readiness, and coordinate intradepartmental and hospital-wide services to maintain high-quality patient care.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Graduate from an accredited Clinical Laboratory Scientist license program.
• Doctoral-level Scientist must have minimum 1 year of experience; Master's 2 years; Bachelor 4 years.

Responsibilities

• Perform and supervise manual, semi-automated and automated assays with high accuracy.
• Monitor and maintain supply levels for the section.
• Supervise staff and participate in QA, proficiency testing, and training.
• Manage department budget and interdepartmental communication.
• Ensure turnaround time and compliance with safety and infection control guidelines.
