Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a work-related discipline/field from an accredited college or university.
• 1 year of progressively responsible and directly related work experience.
• CLS or CLS-LTD certification.
• Ability to analyze data, draw conclusions and interpret results.
• Knowledge of infection prevention policies and procedures.
• Knowledge of local, state and federal regulatory requirements related to areas of functional responsibility.

Responsibilities

• Accurately performs and completes laboratory analysis on body fluids in accordance with laboratory protocols and policies.
• Adheres to all safety and regulatory requirements and procedures defined by SHC.
• Applies control measures for abnormal results and notifies necessary personnel.
• Maintains proficiency and stays current with procedures in assigned lab areas.
• Interprets significance of normal and abnormal results.
• Performs clinical lab tests of varying complexity using standard procedures.
• Performs maintenance and checks on analytical equipment to ensure accurate results.
• Resolves problems related to clinical issues or equipment by escalating when needed.
