Job summary

BioLife Plasma Services in Hoover, AL is seeking a Lab Sample Receiving Technician for 1st shift to support lab staff. You will receive, accession and process samples according to SOPs, help with centrifugation as needed, and ensure timely processing.

The role requires a High School diploma, ability to follow SOPs, good communication, and the capacity to lift up to 30-35 pounds. Experience in a lab is preferred. This position offers full-time hours with competitive pay and benefits.

Qualifications

• Read and follow SOPs and maintain accurate records.
• Previous work in a lab setting preferred.
• Ability to work in a laboratory environment with proper PPE.

Responsibilities

• Perform sample receiving/accessioning/processing according to SOP.
• Perform sample centrifugation according to SOP as applicable to area.
• Responsible for discarding samples and handling backup samples when needed.
• Maintain equipment and sample management to ensure timely testing.
• Communicate issues related to equipment, supplies, workload scheduling.
• Monitor supply inventories and keep work area compliant and clean.
