Job summary

Certified Group in the United States is seeking a Laboratory Sample Processor to ensure protocols are followed for receipt and handling, and to notify customers of issues related to samples submitted for testing.

You will receive, prepare, and set-up samples for analysis, log data in a LIMS, maintain proper temperatures, and assist with shipping of supplies while supporting the FSNS team.

This entry-level role emphasizes safety, accuracy, and teamwork within a regulated laboratory environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Basic knowledge of concepts and practices of a testing laboratory.
• Experience in a commercial food-testing laboratory preferred.
• Training in general laboratory practices preferred.
• One or more years of experience in a commercial food-testing laboratory preferred.

Responsibilities

• Receive, prepare, and set-up samples for analysis.
• Enter data, log analyses, and approve samples using a LIMS database.
• Process and maintain client samples at correct temperatures.
• Follow FSNS procedures for sample segregation and handling.
• Assist with shipping of customer supplies including return coolers.
• Communicate with clients for clarification on orders as needed.
• Maintain laboratory conditions, equipment, and accurate records.
• Perform activities in a neat, safe, and efficient manner.
• Support team goals and safety training requirements.
