Job summary

Onterris in Anaheim, CA is seeking a Full-Time Sample Control Technician I / Courier to handle samples, keep records, and support courier duties between locations. The role combines lab support with transportation tasks to ensure timely results.

You will work 1st shift (10am–6:30pm), Monday–Friday, performing sample intake, data entry into LIMS, labeling, and vehicle maintenance. Forklift operation may be required, with training within 30 days.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Lab experience preferred.
• Must have a valid driver's license.
• Must be able to move and carry up to 50 lbs.
• Must be able to remain in a stationary position for the duration of shift.
• Driving record meets the company's requirements for operating company vehicles.
• Forklift experience preferred, or willingness to learn and complete forklift training within the first 30 days of employment.

Responsibilities

• Drives the company vehicle to transport supplies and samples between Onterris Orange and Anaheim locations for processing.
• Receives environmental samples into the laboratory according to SOPs.
• Performs data entry and login of sample and test information into Laboratory Information System (LIMS).
• Label sample containers and equipment, store them in appropriate locations and/or contact the proper department to inform them of short holding time and/or rush requests.
• Assists in sample bottle preparation/equipment prep, sample management/archiving and disposal, focusing on daily pickups/deliveries to ensure smooth transport between sites.
• Maintains the company vehicle in optimal condition.
• Occasional operation of a forklift.
• Participates in focus teams to improve efficiency.
• Comply with Company’s Quality Assurance Program.
• Comply with Company’s Health and Safety Plan.
• Other duties as assigned.
