Responsibilities

• Oversee health and safety programs across 150+ lab groups in 18 departments.
• Manage SciShield, the university's laboratory management software.
• Perform laboratory inspections tailored to lab type and hazards.
• Advise researchers on health and safety concerns campus-wide.
• Develop and deliver specialized training to augment SciShield.
• Chair the Laboratory Safety Committee.
• Investigate laboratory incidents and ensure corrective actions.
