Responsibilities

• Process hazardous waste requests and manage associated documentation.
• Oversee chemical, radioactive, and medical waste programs.
• Conduct regular laboratory safety surveys and inspections.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, RCRA, DOT, CDC/NIH, NFPA and related regs.
• Maintain hazardous material inventory and documentation.
• Develop safety policies and related documentation.
• Provide safety training to staff and students.
• Develop program performance metrics and use data to evaluate effectiveness.
• Support emergency preparedness and response programs.
