Job summary

Avantor in Cambridge, MA is seeking a Lab Resource Coordinator to support scientific teams and maintain efficient lab operations. This role reports to the Site Manager and LRC Supervisor and collaborates with Advanced Laboratory Services professionals on mission-based lab work and research protocols.

The position requires a high school diploma or GED, with an associate or bachelor's degree preferred, and 1–2 years of lab experience.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years of laboratory experience preferred (undergraduate coursework accepted).
• Customer service experience is a plus but not required.
• Familiarity with laboratory instruments and basic testing procedures.

Responsibilities

• Act as primary liaison for research teams, supporting daily experimental and operational needs.
• Ensure compliance with laboratory SOPs, GLP standards, and safety regulations.
• Manage reagent, consumable, and equipment inventory; coordinate procurement and stock optimization.
• Oversee cold-chain storage systems and equipment maintenance coordination.
• Maintain shared laboratory infrastructure and submit facility work orders.
• Train personnel on core lab workflows, instrumentation, and PPE programs.
